Anyway, this is mostly my fault but I wanted to talk about it. On Monday, I was walking to the study lounge from the bathroom and I realized that my wallet was stolen. Whoever stole it returned the actual wallet so I was pleased when I got a call that it was found. The physical wallet was there but the person had taken a number of things from it, including cash.
College students talk about being poor and without money (or in other words, the 99%). I don’t understand a person’s judgement. I was obviously a college student as my school I.D. was in there. If you talk about camaraderie between students, why would you just go ahead and steal someone’s money? They also took my train rail pass which hugely inconvenienced myself and my family.
I am not saying that I am, personally, the picture of Good Morals. I don’t think that I am. I have, however, found a wallet full of money and returned it because it truly is the right thing to do. I just don’t like how many people can say one thing and then just turn around and do something else. Again, I do acknowledge that this WAS my fault but I also think that people should start doing what they preach, I guess.
