Hi! I’m Rachel. First of all, let’s get the basics about me out of the way. I’m 22 and live in a tiny New Jersey town that you have probably never heard of before and plan to get out of these as soon as I possibly can. Most of my time is spent either on a train to college or at college. I am studying to become an English teacher but my main goal is to teach special education. The main reason I am interested in it is because my brother, Jacob, is autistic and I just love how he and his friends are so innocent and see the world. Jacob is my favorite person in the world and, if I could pick my brother, I’d definitely pick him.
I am obsessed with reading. I will mostly read anything and everything, or at least fthe first few pages of a book. If it doesn’t draw me in, I will pick up another one. I have many favorite books but some of them are: The Catcher in the Rye (ultimate favorite), 1984, The Harry Potter series andThe Lord of the Rings. Right now, I am dabbling in Russian literature which is super gr8. If you ever have any book suggestions for me, PLEASE leave them in my ask box or make a post and tag me! I am always on the lookout for something New and Exciting. I have also heard that I am very good at book recommendations so if you want something to read, please hit me up!
My music tastes differ so much that it is impossible to describe what kind of music I love. My iPod has everything from classical music to showtunes to top forties to oldies. My favorite band would have to be the Beatles because I was raised on their songs and had Beatles tunes as lullabies as a kid, I s2g. I can sing a little bit and am teaching myself how to play guitar.
A lot of people ask about my URL. If you have followed me for a while, you will know that I LOVE cupcakes and sweets. A lot. My favorite childhood book was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Hence my URL!
I am a genuine person on here. I have been called immature for my age a bunch of times. So, yes. I am not your “typical” adult but excuse me if I love things that make me happy like sweets, disney movies Harry Potter and One Direction. :) If you like those things too, you will probably enjoy my blog! My interests vary from day-to-day but those things will most definitely be on there practically every day.
